Bring back the lustre of The Pearl of the Orient - Penang! The lack of political courage to enforce the anti-litter and other environmental laws has resulted in the degradation of the environment, dirty streets, beaches, rivers, seas, eating places and toilets and illegal buildings and structures on rivers, road pavements and public beaches. Help publish pictures of dirty Penang to show to the world so that the SHAME will wake up the enforcement officers and the Penang leaders

This is the blatant disregard of public amenities - illegal shifting of lamp posts, telephone posts, covering up hydrants, bus shelters; building illegal stalls on pavements, public land, crown land - public beaches, etc. - looks like some mafia operations, must be with political backings, in Batu Ferringhi - in blatant disregard of the Government without power in Penang.
The hydrant has since been removed after it appeared in The Star newspaper - obviously at the expense of tax-payers money, and at the expense of no hydrant for the tourist resort area.
Come, help bring back the lustre of the Pearl of the Orient by posting shameful garbage photos and then repost when the garbage is cleared by the local authorities - or being ordered by the Prime Minister to clean it up!! Do not forget to show the "cleaned" site, otherwise the tourists will permanently shun Penang :>)
